Lee Yuet Li

Lee Yuet Li, a Malaysian aged 58, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. She was appointed to our Board on 18 August 2025.

She completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification in 1991. She was qualified as a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow of the ACCA in 1994 and 1999 respectively. She brings with her over 3 decades of extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and investor relations across both the financial services and corporate sectors.

She began her career in 1991 at Ernst & Young as an auditor before moving into corporate finance with Affin Merchant Bank Berhad (currently known as Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad) in 1995, where she managed a range of capital market and advisory transactions.

Following a decade in external audit and investment banking, she joined DRB-HICOM Berhad, taking on the role of Senior Manager, Corporate Finance Advisory.

During her tenure at DRB-HICOM Berhad, she focused on infrastructure-related merger and acquisition deals as well as debt and equity fundraising, including liaising with regulators and investment banks to drive large-scale corporate initiatives.

In 2007, she joined MISC Berhad (a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS)) as a Senior Manager with dual capacity in corporate finance and strategic planning departments. She was subsequently promoted to General Manager and thereafter promoted to Head of Special Projects, Mergers and Acquisitions. Over her 10-year tenure at MISC Berhad, she was involved in various strategic initiatives including group-level capital structure and fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring of asset ownership across the group as well as the formulation of corporate strategies to support business transformation. Notably, she also contributed to the internal evaluation and coordination workstreams in connection with PETRONAS’ proposed privatisation and delisting of MISC Berhad in 2013.

In 2018, she joined Tropicana Corporation Berhad as an Executive Director of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, where she oversaw corporate finance activities and stakeholder engagement.

Between 2018 and 2023, she actively participated in corporate leadership initiatives. She was selected as part of Cohort 2 of the 30% Club Malaysia, an initiative championed by the Securities Commission Malaysia to prepare women for board directorship roles. She also participated in mentorship programmes under LeadWomen and the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), where she received board-readiness training in areas such as governance, board dynamics, chairing meetings, and conflict resolution.

In May 2023 and May 2025, she was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director of Chuan Huat Resources Berhad (a company currently listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities) and Pineapple Resources Berhad (a company currently listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities), respectively. To date, she continues to hold independent directorships in Chuan Huat Resources Berhad and Pineapple Resources Berhad.
