In 2004, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Systems Engineering (Networking) from The Nottingham Trent University. In 1995 before he was officially graduated with a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology Malaysia, he began his career with Computer System Advisers (M) Berhad (currently known as DXC Technology Sdn Bhd) as a Customer Service Representative II, where he was responsible for providing post-sales technical support, hardware and software evaluation and testing, server upgrades as well as field level maintenance and system support.

In 1997, he joined Smith Zain Securities Sdn Bhd as an Analyst Programmer where he was responsible for managing the IT system and network infrastructure of the company’s Kuala Lumpur office, including servers, workstations, and network connectivity. He provided full support for both end-user environments and backend infrastructure, including email migration and Windows NT4 upgrades, ensuring stable connectivity between the Kuala Lumpur and Penang offices.

He then transitioned into entrepreneurship and began laying the groundwork to establish MTS with Young Yoong Chang. In 2003, he co-founded MTS with Young Yoong Chang, where he applied his technical background to lead the implementation and design of Microsoft-based solutions, infrastructure upgrades and end user deployment projects. Under his leadership, MTS expanded its clientele from small medium enterprise (“SME”) customers to large corporations in the utilities, telecommunications, and financial services sectors. His responsibilities included solution architecture, execution of IT rollout plans, and managing project delivery teams in both hardware and software domains. He has been a director of MTS since June 2003.

In 2015, he, together with Young Yoong Chang and Quah Soo Keat, acquired and subscribed shares in SMIND as part of our Group’s expansion into knowledge process outsourcing services, particularly in providing project management support for the implementation of IT solutions. He took on a technical advisory role focused on solution deployment, pre-sales engineering, and escalation support in SMIND. He works closely with our Group’s account managers and technical teams to troubleshoot implementation issues, recommend suitable IT infrastructure and networking technologies for client environments as well as guide clients’ enterprise-level migrations involving cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity components. His ability to translate client requirements into workable technical strategies has been key in supporting our Group’s role as a trusted partner to clients and Principals.
