During his tenure at Computer Systems Advisers (M) Sdn Bhd, he resolved critical support cases and becoming the company’s go-to specialist for unresolved tickets. He diagnosed and remedied network operating system issues not covered in official documentation or vendor manuals, earning direct commendations from clients for delivering effective solutions that led to significant reductions in downtime.

In 1999, he joined MCSB Systems (M) Berhad as a Senior Systems & Network Specialist, he initially carried forward his core duties in network and software support while also handling client pre-sale and post-sale engagements. Recognising his expertise, the company soon elevated him to lead project teams where he was responsible for the design and implementation of networking solutions using Novell NetWare and Microsoft Active Directory. In one standout engagement, he architected a segmented network infrastructure that enabled multiple virtual LANs to operate from a single master network—functionality not available in standard vendor platforms. This innovation delivered enhanced security, scalability and operational efficiency, earning accolades from both clients and senior management.

In 2003, he co-founded MTS together with Lee Choon Weng where he was primarily responsible for setting the company’s overall strategic direction, overseeing its daily operations as well as driving growth through new business development and opportunities. During the formative years of MTS, he focused on expanding core offerings of MTS in infrastructure support and managed services while cultivating key partnerships with global IT Principals. His role encompassed operational leadership, client engagement, financial oversight, and project delivery execution across enterprise accounts. Under his leadership, MTS grew from a modest IT support provider into a recognised multi-segment IT solutions company serving public and private sector clients, including GLCs as well as large enterprises and corporations in the utilities, telecommunications and financial services industries. He has been a director of MTS since June 2003.

In 2015, he, together with Lee Choon Weng and Quah Soo Keat, acquired and subscribed shares in SMIND as part of our Group’s expansion into knowledge process outsourcing services, particularly in providing project management support for the implementation of IT solutions. Over time, SMIND expanded its capabilities into enterprise cybersecurity and technical support services, to undertake projects and/or contracts involving larger project and/or contract value in support of the customers’ digital transformation initiatives. He contributed his leadership role in SMIND by overseeing the company’s strategy, operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance and growth. He led the transformation of SMIND into a key solutions provider, aligning its business direction with our Group’s long-term expansion plans and ensuring sustainability through disciplined management and Principal and their distributors collaboration.

As our Group’s Managing Director, he is responsible for the overall business direction, corporate development, strategic partnerships, and leadership of our Group. His vision has led our Group’s evolution from a project-driven business to a solutions-based provider with capabilities across IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions implementation, managed services and leasing. We will continue to leverage his 30 years’ experience in the IT industry to charter our Group’s success, supported by our Group’s relationships with Principals and their distributors, diversified clientele across industries and multi-spectrum service models.
